Lashone Properties terms of sale

Last updated October 2026

Draft: this page is awaiting legal review and may change.

These are the general terms on which Lashone Properties sells land and homes, lets homes and builds for clients. Your signed contract of sale, tenancy agreement or building contract sets out the exact terms for your purchase, and where it differs from this page, your contract applies. Nothing here affects your rights under Nigerian law.

1. Information on this website

Estate details, plot sizes, prices and payment terms can change. Details marked "Sample" are placeholders. Always confirm the current details with us in writing before you pay. Pictures marked as artist's impressions or 3D views show the intended design and may differ from the finished building.

2. Inspection

We encourage every buyer to inspect the estate and the plot before paying. You are also free to carry out your own checks on the estate's title at the relevant land registry, or through your own lawyer or surveyor.

3. Subscription and contract

To buy, you complete our subscription form and make your first payment. We then issue a receipt and a contract of sale that states the plot or home, the price, any additional fees, the payment plan and the documents you will receive.

4. Prices and additional fees

The price is the one stated in your contract of sale. Any additional fees, such as development, survey, legal or documentation fees, will be listed in writing before you pay. We will not charge fees that were not disclosed to you.

Owners in our estates also pay a development levy towards roads, power and drainage, and an annual maintenance fee towards security and upkeep. These are reviewed from time to time as costs change, and we give owners notice of any change.

5. Payment

Pay only into an official Lashone Properties bank account listed on our Pay Lashone safely page, and keep every receipt. We never ask buyers to pay into a staff member's or agent's personal account, and we are not responsible for money paid to anyone else.

6. Instalment and pay small, small plans

The deposit, payment amounts, schedule and maximum duration of your plan are set out in your contract. If a payment is late, please contact us straight away. The consequences of missed payments, including any review of the price or the plan, are set out in your contract.

7. Allocation and documents

Your plot or home is allocated after your payment is complete, on the allocation dates we give for the estate. On completion you receive the documents stated in your contract, such as a deed of assignment and registered survey plan.

8. Withdrawal and refunds

If you wish to withdraw from a purchase, tell us in writing. Refunds, the time they take and any deductions are set out in your contract of sale. Refunds are paid only to the account in the buyer's name.

9. Resale and transfer

If you want to sell or transfer your plot or home to someone else, please contact us first. Transfers within an estate follow the procedure and fees set out in your contract and the estate's rules.

10. Estate rules

Owners and residents agree to follow the estate's rules on building plans, use of plots, security and shared facilities, which we provide on request and with your contract.

11. Rentals

Tenancies are governed by a written tenancy agreement and the applicable tenancy laws. Rent and any service charge are paid only into official Lashone accounts against a receipt.

12. Building services

Building work is carried out under a written building contract that sets out the drawings, specification, price, payment stages and timeline. Changes requested during the work are agreed in writing, with any change in price or time.

13. Complaints

If something is wrong, contact us at info@lashone.com or +234 803 973 3800 with your name, estate and receipt details. We aim to respond within 5 working days and to resolve complaints fairly.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The courts of the state where the property is located have jurisdiction.
