Draft: reviewed by Lashone's lawyer; some details are still being confirmed against company records and may change.
Lashone Group processes personal data in accordance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and other applicable data-protection requirements. This policy explains what personal data we collect through lashone.com, how and why we use it, the lawful bases for processing, when we share it, how long we retain it, and the rights available to individuals.
Who we are
Lashone Group and the Lashone business you contact determine the purposes and means of processing the personal data described here. For privacy enquiries or to exercise your rights, contact info@lashone.com or write to Block 31, Sogunro Estate, Caterpillar Bus Stop, Ogba, Ikeja, Lagos. Your Lashone account has its own privacy notice.
What we collect
- Details you send through our enquiry form: your name, email address, phone number (optional), the business you are contacting and your message.
- Basic technical data, such as your IP address and request information, processed by our hosting provider to deliver, maintain and secure the website and investigate misuse.
- If you follow a Lashone sales executive's link, their referral code, kept in a cookie for 30 days (see Cookies).
Why we use it and our lawful basis
- To reply to your enquiry and provide the service you ask about: steps you ask us to take before entering into a contract, or our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.
- To keep the website secure and prevent abuse: our legitimate interest in protecting the website and its users.
- To record which sales executive introduced you, so they can be credited if you buy: our legitimate interest in running our sales programme.
- To keep records the law requires: our legal obligations.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data. We use Cloudflare for website hosting and security and Brevo for email delivery to operate the website and handle enquiries. These providers process personal data on our behalf under their data-processing terms, and may process or store it outside Nigeria; where they do, we rely on the safeguards the Nigeria Data Protection Act requires for cross-border transfers. We may disclose personal data to public authorities where required or authorised by law.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry messages and related personal data as business records, so we can follow up, resolve disputes and meet our legal obligations. Server logs are kept only briefly by our hosting provider for security.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, erasure, restriction of processing, or object to processing. Where applicable, you may also request data portability or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may exercise these rights by emailing info@lashone.com (Lashone has not appointed a Data Protection Officer; requests sent there are handled by its privacy contact); we may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on a request. You may also lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Cookies
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. If you arrive through a sales executive's link (one ending in ?ref=), we keep their referral code in a cookie for 30 days, shared with account.lashone.com, so they can be credited if you buy. It holds only the code.
Some pages show videos hosted on YouTube. Their preview pictures load from YouTube's servers when the page opens, so YouTube receives technical data such as your IP address. The video itself only loads, in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), when you press play. YouTube's privacy policy applies to data YouTube processes.
