Important: Lashone Cooperative is a registered cooperative society, not a bank. It accepts savings from its members only and lends to its members only. Savings are not insured by the NDIC and earn no guaranteed return. Membership, savings, withdrawals and loans follow the cooperative's bye-laws.

Who we are

Stronger together

Housing is capital-intensive, but a little drop of water makes an ocean. Lashone Cooperative, an initiative of Lashone Group, brings people together to pool their savings and reach goals they could not reach alone: land, a home, a business or a family need.

Members save as little as ₦5,000 a month, at their own pace. The cooperative is registered as Lashone Links Housing Co-operative Multipurpose Society Limited, owned by its members and run under its bye-laws, and lends only to its members.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Is the cooperative open now?

We are relaunching the cooperative. Register your interest now and we will contact you, with the membership form and bye-laws, as soon as membership opens. Please do not pay anything until then.

Who can join?

Anyone aged 18 or over with a steady income who wants to own land or a home and agrees to follow the bye-laws.

How often do members meet?

Only four times a year, for about two hours on a Sunday afternoon.

How much do I need to start?

The membership form costs ₦5,000, and you can then save from ₦5,000 a month. You need a valid photo ID, such as an international passport, driver's licence, national ID (NIN) card or voter's card.

Will my savings earn interest or a fixed return?

No return is guaranteed. The cooperative is not an investment scheme. Any surplus is dealt with by members at the annual general meeting, as the bye-laws allow.

Can I borrow from the cooperative?

Yes, once you are a member and meet the conditions in the bye-laws. Every loan needs a fellow member to guarantee it in writing.

Is the cooperative the same as the Investment Club?

No. The cooperative is a registered, member-owned savings and loans society. It is completely separate from Lashone Investment Club.
