Lashone Farms terms of sale and delivery
Last updated November 2026
Draft: reviewed by Lashone's lawyer; some details are still being confirmed against company records and may change.
These terms apply to every order you place with Lashone Farms, whether through your Lashone account, by phone, by email or in person. Please read them before you order. They do not affect your rights under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018 or any other Nigerian law.
1. Who we are
Lashone Farms ("we", "us") is part of Lashone Group. Our farm is at Ibarapa, Oyo State, and our Lagos pickup point is Block 31, Sogunro Estate, Caterpillar Bus Stop, Ogba, Ikeja, Lagos. Contact us on WhatsApp +44 7841 642708 or at info@lashone.com.
2. Placing an order
You can order through your Lashone account once online ordering opens, or by contacting our farm team. Your order is accepted only when we confirm it to you in writing (in your Lashone account, by email, SMS or WhatsApp from an official Lashone number), together with the price, delivery fee and delivery or pickup date.
Our products are natural and supply depends on the farm. If we cannot supply all or part of your order, we will tell you as soon as possible and offer a replacement, a later date or a full refund for the items we cannot supply.
3. Prices
Prices are in Naira and change with feed costs and the seasons. The price that applies is the one we confirm when we accept your order. Prices shown in your Lashone account or quoted by our team are valid for the period stated with them.
Delivery fees are separate and depend on your location and the size of your order. We tell you the delivery fee before you pay.
4. Payment
Pay only through your Lashone account or into an official Lashone bank account listed on our Pay Lashone safely page. We will never ask you to pay into a staff member's personal account. We are not responsible for money paid to anyone else.
Unless we agree otherwise in writing, orders must be paid in full before delivery or pickup. Regular trade customers may agree other terms with us in writing.
5. Advance orders
You can book ahead, for example for festive seasons or a weekly supply. We may ask for a deposit to secure an advance order. If you cancel an advance order more than 48 hours before the agreed date, we refund your deposit in full. Later cancellations are covered in section 9.
6. Delivery
We deliver to the areas we confirm when we accept your order. We agree a delivery date or time window with you when we accept your order. Delivery times are estimates, and we will tell you promptly about any delay. If we are more than 3 working days late with a delivery we confirmed, you may cancel and receive a full refund.
Please make sure someone is available to receive the order at the agreed address. A failed delivery caused by the customer's absence or an incorrect address may attract a reasonable, previously disclosed redelivery charge. This does not limit the customer's right to a refund or other remedy where failure or delay is attributable to Lashone Farms, the goods are unavailable, or the goods do not conform to the order. Any decision not to refund perishable goods must be assessed against the cause of the failure and applicable law.
For deliveries outside Lagos and Ogun State we may use a third-party transport company. We will tell you if we do, and the expected travel time.
7. Pickup
You can collect from our Ogba office in Lagos or from the farm at Ibarapa on the agreed date, during the opening hours we give you. Please bring your order confirmation. Orders not collected within 2 days of the agreed date may be cancelled. Any refund for fresh goods not collected is assessed against the cause and applicable law.
8. Checking your order
Please check your order when you receive it.
- Eggs: report broken, cracked or missing eggs within 24 hours, with photos of the crates. We will replace them or refund their value.
- Smoked catfish: report a damaged, opened or spoiled pack within 24 hours, with photos. We will replace it or refund it.
- Live animals and birds: check the animal at handover. Once you or your representative accept a live animal, it becomes your responsibility, except for illness or a defect present before handover that could not reasonably have been seen. Report any concern before you accept it.
- Responsibility for the goods passes to you when they are handed to you, your representative or, if you arranged your own transport, your transporter.
9. Cancellations and refunds
You can cancel an order free of charge until we start preparing or dispatching it. Because our products are fresh food and live animals, orders already prepared, dispatched or processed cannot usually be cancelled, except where these terms or the law say otherwise.
Where a refund is due, we pay it to the account or card you paid from, within 7 working days of agreeing it.
10. Animal shares
In an animal share, several buyers share one animal (such as a cow, goat, ram, sheep or a group of chickens) and each pays for their portion. A share is a purchase of meat, not an investment, and it does not earn any return.
Before payment, we will provide written particulars of the animal or group, the portion or quantity basis, price, processing arrangements and charges, expected collection or delivery date, and the method used to allocate portions. If the animal becomes unavailable or cannot lawfully be processed, you may choose an equivalent replacement or a full refund.
- We confirm the animal, your portion and its price when you join.
- When every portion is taken, we set the processing date and tell all buyers. You then collect your portion or have it delivered.
- If a share does not fill by the date we gave you, you can move to another animal or have your payment refunded in full.
- Once the animal has been processed, your portion cannot be cancelled or refunded, except under section 8.
- Portions are approximate, because every animal is different. We share the meat fairly according to the portions bought.
11. Storage and food safety
Once you receive your order, please store it properly: eggs in a cool, dry place or a fridge; smoked catfish sealed in a cool, dry place, then in the fridge or freezer once opened; meat and fresh fish chilled or frozen straight away; garri and flours sealed in a cool, dry place. We are not responsible for goods spoiled by storage after delivery.
12. Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for supplying goods of satisfactory quality, as described and fit for their purpose. If we do not, you are entitled to a replacement or refund under these terms and the law.
Nothing in these terms limits a customer's rights in respect of goods that are unsafe, contaminated, defective, misdescribed, not of satisfactory quality or otherwise non-conforming. A handover or inspection does not waive rights concerning defects that could not reasonably have been identified at delivery.
We are not responsible for losses we could not reasonably foresee, for business losses of trade customers beyond the value of the order, or for delays caused by events outside our control such as severe weather, road closures, strikes or disease outbreaks. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, negligence causing injury, unsafe or defective goods, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Trade customers
Retailers, traders and other businesses that take regular supplies may agree separate written terms with us on volumes, prices, payment and delivery. Where those terms differ from these, the written agreement applies.
14. Complaints
If something is wrong, contact our farm team on WhatsApp +44 7841 642708 or at info@lashone.com with your order details. We aim to reply within 2 working days and to resolve complaints quickly and fairly. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission.
15. Your personal data
We use your details only to process and deliver your order and to contact you about it, as explained in our Privacy policy.
16. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force when we accept your order applies to it. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes may be brought before a court of competent jurisdiction, without affecting any right you have under Nigerian consumer law.
