The House, also known as FIIRO House, was billed as Africa's first industrial reality TV show. It was produced by Lashone Links Communications with the Federal Institute of Industrial Research, Oshodi (FIIRO), the research institute founded in 1956 under the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology.
It was launched at a business cocktail for government officials, industrialists, media and entrepreneurs at Four Points by Sheraton, Victoria Island, Lagos, on 22 October 2017. Finalists with made-in-Nigeria products lived together in the house, pitched their businesses to a faculty of experts, learned from business mentors, and competed for viewers' votes.
