Lashone Communications terms of service
Last updated November 2026
Draft: reviewed by Lashone's lawyer; some details are still being confirmed against company records and may change.
These are the general terms on which Lashone Communications (Lashone Links Communication Limited) provides video and photo production, event coverage, advertising and sponsorship on Lashone TV, PR and media advice, and studio hire. Each client receives a quote or agreement that sets out the exact work, dates, deliverables and fees; where it differs from this page, the quote or agreement applies.
1. Quotes and bookings
We send a written quote before any work starts. A booking is confirmed when you accept the quote and pay any deposit it asks for. Dates are held for you only once the booking is confirmed.
2. Your responsibilities
- Give us accurate information, and any logos, music, footage or other materials, in good time.
- Make sure you have the right to let us use the materials you supply.
- Arrange access to venues and locations, and any permits they need.
- Get the consent of people you ask us to film or photograph, or let us arrange release forms.
- Review drafts and send feedback within the time agreed.
3. Revisions and delivery
Your quote says how many rounds of changes are included. Further changes, or changes to the agreed idea after filming, may cost extra; we will tell you before doing them. We deliver the finished work in the formats agreed.
4. Ownership and use
Once you have paid in full, you may use the finished work for the purposes set out in your agreement. Unless agreed otherwise, we keep the raw footage and project files, and may show the finished work in our portfolio and on Lashone TV; tell us if you would rather we did not. Music, stock footage and fonts are licensed for the agreed use only.
The quote or agreement will identify the owner of the final deliverables and whether the client receives an assignment or a licence. Any licence will state its permitted purpose, media, territory, duration, exclusivity and any restrictions. Raw footage, project files and third-party materials are excluded unless expressly included in writing. No rights in third-party music, footage, fonts or other licensed content are transferred beyond the licence obtained for the project.
5. Advertising and sponsorship
We review every advert and sponsored feature before it is published and may decline or remove any that is misleading, unlawful or unsuitable, including any promise of guaranteed returns. Advertisers are responsible for the claims in their adverts, which must follow Nigerian advertising law, including the rules of the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON) where they apply. Sponsored content is clearly marked as sponsored.
6. Lashone TV guests and appearances
Guests agree that we may record, edit and publish their appearance on Lashone TV and our channels. We edit fairly and do not change the meaning of what a guest says. Lashone TV programmes are for general information only and are not financial, legal or investment advice.
Before recording or publication, we will obtain an appropriate release or other lawful authority for each identifiable guest or participant. The release will explain the intended recording, editing, publication channels, promotional use, duration and any compensation. Where consent is the chosen lawful basis, it will be specific and informed and withdrawal will be handled in accordance with applicable law.
7. Studio hire
Studio bookings run for the hours booked; extra time is charged if the studio is free. You are responsible for your guests and for any damage to the studio or equipment caused by your party. Our staff may stop any activity that is unsafe or unlawful.
8. Fees, payment and cancellation
Fees are set out in your quote. Pay only into Lashone Communications' official account, never to a crew member personally. If you cancel or move a confirmed booking, the cancellation terms in your quote apply; work already done and costs already incurred are payable. If we must cancel, we will offer a new date or refund what you have paid for the cancelled work.
9. Liability
We take care with your project and equipment. Our liability for any claim is limited to the fees paid for the work concerned, except where the law does not allow liability to be limited. We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our control, such as bad weather, power failures or venue problems, but we will work with you to reschedule.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, infringement or misuse of intellectual property, breach of confidentiality, a personal data breach, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
10. Confidentiality and data
We keep your unpublished plans and materials confidential, and handle personal data, including images of people we film or photograph, as set out in our Privacy policy and the Nigeria Data Protection Act.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes may be brought before a court of competent jurisdiction, without affecting any right you have under Nigerian consumer law.
